Plain chest radiograph reveals bowel loops in the left thorax with shift of the heart and mediastinum to the right side.
Postoperative radiographs show normal position of bowel loops in the abdominal cavity associated with hydropneumothorax in the left side.
Case Discussion
Surgery confirms herniation of the bowel loops through the foramen of Bochdalek and intestinal malrotation (not visible). Appendectomy was also performed.
