Congenital high airways obstruction syndrome

Presentation

Gravida 1. 19 wks of amenorrhoea. Leaking per vaginum 2 days.

Patient Data

Age: 25 yrs
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

Ultrasound shows nearly absent liquor; single umbilical artery and an umbilical cord cyst. Both lungs are echogenic compressing heart along with flat / inverted hemidiaphragms and dilated trachea - main bronchi.

Fetal growth corresponds to 18 wks ( Biometry Not uploaded ).

Case Discussion

Primigravida female presents with history of leaking per vaginum for last 2 days. Ultrasound shows nearly absent liquor. Echogenic both lungs compressing heart, flat / inverted hemidiaphragms and dilated trachea - main bronchi favour diagnosis of congenital high airway obstruction.
