Presentation

Repeated hospitalization due to respiratory distress.

Patient Data

Age: Infant
Gender: Male

Hyperinflation and air trapping of right lung middle lobe are noted. No pneumothorax.

Atelectatic bands in right upper and left lower lobes.

Case Discussion

Right middle lobe is the second most common lobe involved by congenital lobar overinflation after left lung upper lobe.
