Abnormal broadening of the left 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th ribs.
Abnormal partial fusion of the 7th and 8th ribs.
Abnormal bifid proximal end of the left 6th rib.
Case Discussion
Young female with chest wall deformity.
CT of the chest wall shows abnormal broadening of the left 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th ribs associated with fusion of the 7th and 8th ribs as well as bifid proximal end of the left 6th rib.
Preserved normal bone density excludes the possibility of bony tumors or fibrous dysplasia.
