Presentation

Suspected scoliosis.

Patient Data

Age: 3 years
Gender: Male

Confirmation of infantile scoliosis (0-4 years). No vertebral body abnormality. C-shaped right thoracic curve. Cobb angle 60 degrees.

Relatively stable right thoracic scoliosis in brace. Cobb angle of 65 degrees. No vertebral body abnormality.

Right thoracic curve with pronounced rotational deformity. Multi-level posterior element fusion. 

Intra-operative imaging with flat-panel CT. Upper rod position with fixation from laminar hook and two pedicle screws.

Right-sided growing rod with high thoracic (hook and screw) and upper lumbar (screw) fixation.
