The CTA demonstrates the following cardiovascular anomalies:
- the right atrium communicates with the morphologic left ventricle
- the morphologic left ventricle gives rise to the pulmonary artery with stenosis at the level or slightly above the pulmonary valve (diameter = 8 mm)
- the left atrium communicates with the morphologic right ventricle
- the morphologic right ventricle gives rise to the aorta which is patent with a normal caliber
- large ventricular septal defect (VSD) measuring 25 mm
- pulmonary stenosis: both main pulmonary arteries are reduced in caliber measuring 10 mm in diameter on the right and 13 mm on the left with a normal caliber of their lobar and segmental branches
- major aortopulmonary collateral arteries (MAPCAs)
- normal appearance of the pulmonary veins
Case Discussion
