Congential pseudoarthrosis of the right clavicle

Painless swelling over right clavicle. Normal shoulder and arm movements

Age: 14
Gender: Female

Non union between medial and lateral thirds of right clavicle. No callus formation, and both ends of two fragments appear rounded.

Case Discussion

Congenital pseudoarthrosis of the clavicle is due to failure of union between medial and lateral ossification centers of clavicle. Most commonly involve the right clavicle and dextrocardia should be excluded if left side is involved. History of trauma plays no role in this condition.
