Conjoined twins (ultrasound 1st trimester - fetopathology)

Presentation

Incidental finding. Non-relevant history at presentation.

Patient Data

Age: 13 weeks

This foetus is obviously dysmorphic.
Cephalic pole : acrania with paracervical pseudocysts.
Thorax : careful examination reveals two hearts (video 2), a triangle-shaped thorax with split thoracic vertebrae in axial scan. Hydrothorax is also seen.
Caudal pole is not properly imaged.  

Post-abortion pathology : conjoined twins, ventral union, cephalo-thoracophagus variant, with acrania.
