Coracoid process fracture

H/o road traffic accident. Radiograph + CT scan - Coracoid process fracture. Referred to check cuff integrity. Because of wasting of supra and infraspinatus bellies on examination.

Patient Data

Age: 55 yrs
Gender: Male

Fracture of mid part of coracoid process of scapula.

Symptomatic supra and infraspinatus bellies -  fatty  infiltration ( increased echogenisty ) and volume loss .   Infraspinatus is more affected. 

Case Discussion

Fracture of coracoid process of scapula with intact cuff. However, there is atrophy - fatty infiltration involving supra and infraspinatus muscle bellies.
