Gender: Male

Primary oesophageal contraction interrupted by multiple tertiary (non-propulsive contractions), giving rise to corkscrew oesophagus. 

Case Discussion

Barium swallow demonstrates incoordinated peristalsis with simultaneous contration of the oesophagus at multiple points (so-called corkscrew oesophagus).
