Patient Data

Gender: Female
MRI

The occipital horns and atria of the lateral ventricles are enlarged bilaterally. Sagittal images demonstrate agenesis of the corpus callosum.

Case Discussion

Parallel orientation of both lateral ventricular bodies are suggestive of corpus callosum agenesis. This can often be associated with prominence of the occipital horns of the lateral ventricle (colpocephaly).
