Swelling and low density in the right caudate head and lentiform nucleus (i.e. globus pallidus and putamen) consistent with subacute infarction, i.e. at least days old.

The artery that is responsible for blood supply to the corpus striatum is the recurrent artery of Heubner ie a branch of the anterior cerebral artery.
