Presentation

Knee pain.

Patient Data

Age: 9 years
Gender: Female
mri

Cortical irregularity seen involving posteromedial aspect of distal femoral metaphysis at the attachment site of adductor magnus / medial head of gastrocnemius tendon.  

Linear hyperintensity seen in posterior horn of medial meniscus with no obvious extension to articular surface and a possible tiny parameniscal cyst at posterior aspects, measuring approx. 1.5 mm. 

Case Discussion

Cortical irregularity involving posteromedial aspect of distal femoral metaphysis at the attachment site of adductor magnus / medial head of gastrocnemius tendon, typical of a cortical desmoid.
