Cortical infarct with MCA disease

Case Discussion

This 36 year old man presented with right sided weakness consistent with a partial anterior circulation stroke (PACS).

CT on admission was normal.

MRI confirmed cortical infarction with background atherosclerosis and disease in the left MCA and both ACAs.
