Presentation
New-onset headaches and history of COVID-19 pneumonia with positive PCR test, fever, and dyspnea from 9 days ago.
Patient Data
Bilateral multilobar ground-glass opacities are seen at the lungs mostly with the peripheral distribution.
Absent normal signal void of superior sagittal sinus, right sigmoid and transverse sinuses
Few high signal foci in T2 and flair sequences at subcortical and periventricular white matter of both cerebral hemispheres depict microvascular ischemic events.
Intraluminal filling defects within the superior sagittal sinus and right sigmoid and transverse sinus after contrast injection compatible with sinus venous thrombosis.
Case Discussion
Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and pneumonia in association with COVID-19.
