Presentation

Persistent cough, fever and sore throat.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
ct

Numerous extensive and rather symmetric multilobar centrally- and peripherally-located patchy areas of segmental and subsegmental confluent acinar consolidation. Some areas demonstrate air bronchograms within. They are intermingled with ground glass opacities seen involving all lung lobes and segments. No pleural effusion. 

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates many of the commonly described imaging features consistent with COVID-19 pneumonia. This patient had a positive nasal swab via rapid test for COVID-19, confirming the diagnosis.
