Diffuse alveolar consolidations involving both lung fields which are predominantly peripheral in location.
The lung apices appear relatively spared.
No evidence of pleural effusion.
Case Discussion
The radiological findings representative by the peripheral consolidations bilaterally as in this case are highly suggestive of COVID 19 pneumonia which is confirmed by positive PCR test after the x-ray.
There is no evidence of pleural effusion which is an atypical presentation of COVID-19.
