Crazy-paving pattern with ground-glass opacities of peripheral distribution involving the right upper lobe mainly the dorsal segment as well as the right lower lobe. No mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. No pleural effusion is seen.
Case Discussion
The patient had positive RT-PCR testing for COVID-19.
The main reported CT findings in adults with COVID-19 pneumonia are:
- ground-glass opacities (GGO): bilateral, subpleural, peripheral
- crazy paving appearance (GGOs and inter-/intra-lobular septal thickening)
- air space consolidation
- bronchovascular thickening in the lesion
- traction bronchiectasis
