Presentation

An asymptomatic patient traveled from France to Algeria 4 days ago and was in contact with a positive COVID-19 patient.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Bilateral multilobar ground‐glass opacities (GGOs) of peripheral subpleural distribution involving mainly the lower lobes. No mediastinal or hilar lymphadenopathy. No pleural effusion.

Case Discussion

The CT appearances are typical of COVID-19 pneumonia which was confirmed by a positive RT-PCR test.

A retrospective study of 112 patients found that 54% of asymptomatic patients had pneumonic changes on CT 1
