Presentation

Close contact with an infected COVID-19 case five days ago.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Ground glass opacities and consolidation in both lower lobe basal segments

Peripheral subpleural area of an incomplete rim of consolidation in the posterior and laterobasal segments of the right lower lobe, surrounding a central region of ground glass opacities, consistent with the "reversed halo sign"

Case Discussion

This patient had positive RT-PCR testing for COVID-19.

Reversed halo sign has been found to prefer a peripheral lower lobe distribution in COVID-19 pneumonia.
