Intradural extramedullary mass is noted at craniocervical junction, posterior to C1 and odontoid process which causing right posterolateral displacement of the cervical cord. The mass shows iso to slightly hyperintense on T2W and isointense on T1W images. There is no apparent evidence of local invasion or adjacent bony destruction.
After contrast media injection marked homogeneous enhancement is visible with dural tail sign and findings are compatible with meningioma.
Typical meningiomas appear as dural based masses isointense to grey matter on both T1 and T2 weighted imaging and demonstrate vivid contrast enhancement on both MRI and CT.
