Presentation
Crohn disease. Abdominal pain.
Patient Data
Fluid-filled dilatation of the small bowel loops with the point of transition in the mid-distal ileum on the left side of the pelvis. A long segment of thickened and hyper-enhancing distal ileum with dilatation of vessels in vasa recta. The ileocecal valve is high in the right paracolic gutter. The colon is of normal caliber.
Additional shorter segment of thickened mid jejunum in the left mid-abdomen.
Cholecystectomy.
The liver, spleen, bilateral kidneys, and adrenals, pancreas are unremarkable. No sinister bone lesion.
Lung bases are clear.

Active distal ileal Crohn disease with proximal small bowel obstruction.
