Known history of Crohn disease.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

An intra-operative finding during right hemicolectomy with "fat creeping" in the terminal ileum.

Case Discussion

The fat creeping sign or fat wrapping refers to the fibrofatty proliferation of the mesenteric tissue adjacent to chronic inflamed bowel loops and has been considered to be a finding characteristic of Crohn disease.
