Presentation

FDG PET-CT requested to characterise a solitary pulmonary nodule. History of right MCA territory infarction and left craniotomy for meningioma.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
CT

FDG PET/CT

Region of encephalomalacia and reduced FDG uptake involving the right MCA territory.

Reduced FDG uptake in the left cerebellum (contralateral).

Case Discussion

Pattern of reduced uptake in the left cerebellum is most in keeping with crossed cerebellar diaschisis.
