Presentation
Absent right kidney during ultrasound screening.
Patient Data

Non-visualised absent right kidney at its anatomical location. It is fused to the lower pole of the left kidney. Both are mal-rotated in which the renal pelvis is directed anterolaterally. Two ureters are seen, each ureter arises from one collecting system and then passes separately to be inserted on both sides of the urinary bladder.
No back pressure changes: either hydronephrosis or hydroureters.
No radio-opaque calculi or pathological calcifications along the course of the urinary tract. No hydronephrosis. No gross renal masses or cysts.
Case Discussion
Crossed fused renal ectopia is a congenital renal anomaly where the kidneys are fused together and located on the same side of the midline.
