Crossed fused renal ectopia

Right kidney was not visualized in the right renal fossa. Instead, it was seen in the left lumbar region, with its upper pole fused to the lower pole of left kidney.
This was an incidental finding, the cause of pain in this patient was cholelithiasis.

- more common in males
- more common on the right side
- the upper moiety ureter drains into the ipsilateral side of the bladder
- the lower moiety ureter drains into the contralateral side of the bladder
