Crossed fused renal ectopia - L shaped kidney

Renal anomaly discovered on ultrasound exam.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Both kidneys are seen on the left side (crossed fused ectopia). The right kidney is malrotated, crosses the midline to the left side, and fused with the lower pole of the left kidney.

No stone or hydronephrosis. Normal openings of both ureters into the urinary bladder.
