The right kidney is normal in position. The left kidney was not seen in the left renal area. It is seen crossing the midline towards right with its superior pole being fused with the inferior pole of the right kidney and its inferior pole being transverse/oblique giving an overall L-shaped configuration.
Case Discussion
This is an asymptomatic case of crossed fused renal ectopia. It can be associated with complications such as nephrolithiasis, infection, and hydronephrosis approaches ~50%.
