Info

Both renal fossae are empty.

There are two well-formed kidneys on the left side and fused in the lower pole (axial, sagittal, coronal), not crossing the midline.

In the delayed phase, a single ureter is seen draining into the urinary bladder.

Also, a right adnexal lesion was noted.

Images also demonstrate concentric rings centered on the left side, which represents ring artefact.

Case Discussion

Crossed fused renal ectopia is a rare congenital anomaly with a male predilection, though this case was in a female. While the majority of cases of crossed-fused renal ectopia have two ureters, this case demonstrates a single ureter draining both kidneys.
