Axial T2

Bilateral basal ganglia high T1 and T2 signal change is demonstrated with central low T1 / high T2. Given the T1 intrinsic high signal it is difficult to demonstrate contrast enhancement.
Case Discussion
The patient went on to have Cryptococcus isolated from CSF.
