Cryptogenic organizing pneumonia

Presentation

Elderly patient with cough, fever and leukocytosis.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male

Patchy areas of consolidation predominantly in the subpleural locations noted in right upper lobe, lingula and left lower lobe. The areas of consolidation show a ground glass opacity with air bronchograms surrounded by a thick denser ring of consolidation (reverse halo/atoll sign).
