Presentation
CSF rhinorrhea following cranial surgery for brain tumor.
Patient Data
A bone defect involves the posterior wall of the left frontal sinus measuring about 3mm in max diameter ; with subsequent contrast leakage into the left compartment of the frontal sinus and the left anterior ethmoidal air cells.
The cribriform plates of both ethmoids appear intact.
Right ethmoid osteoma.
A bone defect involves the posterior wall of the left frontal sinus (arrows) ; with subsequent contrast leakage into the left compartment of the frontal sinus and the left anterior ethmoidal air cells.
Case Discussion
Excellent example of the need for CT cisternography for the diagnosis of a CSF leak.
