Case Discussion

CT cisternography is a diagnostic modality used to locate the site of a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. During the procedure, a contrast material is injected into the patient's thecal sac, and the patient is placed in a Trendelenburg position to opacify the basal cisterns. After that, thin-section coronal and axial CT images are taken in both prone and supine positions immediately after administering the contrast material. This helps to provide accurate diagnostic information and locate the source of the CSF leak.
