The pudendal bundle is identified on the medial aspect of the obturator internus. A 22-gauge needle was inserted via a transgluteal approach and positioned into Alcock's canal. A mixture of celestone, bupivacaine and iodinated contrast was injected into the canal. A post procedural CT demonstrates an excellent distribution of the injection.
Case Discussion
An illustration of CT-guided pudendal nerve infiltration, in a patient with chronic anoperineal pain. This case highlights the anatomy of pudendal canal, also known as Alcock's canal, on CT imaging.
