Lumbar spinal canal stenosis (CT myelography)

Presentation

Patient with contraindication to MRI study. Late postoperative lumbar arthrodesis with symptoms of lumbar spinal stenosis.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Myelography

ct

Screws of lumbar arthrodesis at L4 and L5. Anterior migration of  L4-L5 CAGE associated with degeneration of vertebral plateaus. There is discrete stenosis of the dural sac at this level.

CT Cervical spine myelography

ct

Also conducted a study of the cervical spine, taking advantage of intrathecal injection of contrast.

Discrete anterior impressions on dural sac without significant stenoses.

This is an illustrative case of a CT myelography study done in a patient with contra-indications to perform an MRI study.
