Presentation

History of multiple old cerebral ischemic strokes.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
CT

Right occipital and smaller left posterior parietal areas of encephalomalacia, sequel of old ischemic insult.

Left internal capsule small old lacunar infarct.

Excessive skin folds in the scalp, resembling the surface of the cerebral cortex.

Cutis verticis gyrata is a rare progressive dermatological condition characterized by excessive skin folds in the scalp, resembling the surface of the cerebral cortex.
