Cystic duct calculus

Diagnosis almost certain


Right upper quadrant pain and vomiting for 2 days.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

A tiny calculus ( 2 - 2.5 mm ) is seen in distal end of cystic duct. Hepatic duct and common bile duct are not dilated.

Gall bladder shows overdistension ( 12.5 cm long axis ).

No calculi in gall bladder.

Findings favor cystic duct calculus (2-2.5 mm ) with gall bladder overdistension.
