Nuclear medicine

Nuclear Medicine HIDA scan shows hepatic uptake and excretion of radiotracer into hepatic/bile duct and bowel, but no radiotracer in gall bladder suggesting cystic duct obstruction.

Cholescintigraphy may demonstrate cystic duct obstruction, confirming a diagnosis of cholecystitis.
