Patient with a known condition presenting with cough.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Interstitial thickening and bronchial wall thickening with an upper zone predominance. Dilated peripheral bronchioles are also seen in both upper zones.
No confluent consolidation or collapse.

Case Discussion

Thick-walled cylindrical bronchiectasis involving the upper zones is typical of cystic fibrosis.
