Cysticercosis

Presentation

Referred with h/o swelling in ' bilateral parotid region'.

Patient Data

Age: 17 yrs
Gender: Female
Modality: Ultrasound

Multiple cystic lesions with central calcification foci are noted involving muscles of neck - upper & lower extremities. Perilesional hypoechoic soft tissue thickening and hypervascularity is noted.

Case Discussion

Patient  was referred for targeted ultrasound of neck - face swlling. They revealed finding of cysticercosis. She was asked for any other lesions / swelling.  Targeted ultrasound of all lesions / swelling pointed out patient was done - all show findings of cystiercosis.
