Cysticercosis in tibialis anterior muscle

Anterior - lateral leg pain - 10 days. No trauma.

Age: 35
Gender: Female

Case Discussion

A well-defined cystic lesion (24 x 9 x 9 mm) is seen in belly of tibialis anterior muscle.

Lesion shows central hyperechoic area (4 mm).

Increased perilesional vascularity is seen.
NO vascularity is seen in wall or central hyperechoic focus of the lesion.

Minimal fluid is seen abutting lower pole of lesion.
