Presentation

Confusion.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

There is a small well-defined ovoid lesion in the midline within the splenium of the corpus callosum, of intermediate signal on T1, high signal on T2, and FLAIR with no enhancement on postcontrast sequence. The DWI/ADC show restricted diffusion.  

Case Discussion

Case of a cytotoxic lesion of the corpus callosum (CLOCCs). It occurs with a large number of different etiologies and presents with a wide variety of clinical settings. It is only appreciable on MRI images where it commonly appears as a well-circumscribed small oval lesion within the substance of the splenium of the corpus callosum.
