Dacryocystitis and dacryocystocele

Cystic distention of the left side lacrimal sac, thickening of the wall, and preseptal and lacrimal gland soft tissue swelling are seen. The right side lacrimal sac is also distended. Fluid and thick mucosa in the left side ethmoid and the maxillary sinus are seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates the non-contrast features of bilateral dacryocystoceles and left side dacryocystitis. The major cause of dacryocystocele and dacryocystitis is nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
