There is cystic distension of the left side lacrimal sac bulged within medial canthus and left side preseptal soft tissue swelling. Foci of thick mucosa in paranasal sinuses are noted.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates the left side nasolacrimal duct obstruction (NLDO) that has led to cystic distension of the left lacrimal sac or dacryocystocele presented as a mass-like soft tissue bulge in the left side medial canthus. Orbital MDCT-Dacryocystography can be a better imaging modality for differentiation of the abnormally distended lacrimal sac from other cystic masses.
