Presentation

Large soft tissue bulge in right side medial canthus and epiphora for six months.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male

A large mass like cystic right lacrimal sac extended within medial canthus and adjacent eyelid on the nasal side is seen. Bilateral enophthalmos and no native lens in the eyes are seen.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates the non-contrast MDCT feature of dacryocystocele presenting as a medial canthus mass lesion. One of the main causes of medial canthus mass lesion is a cystic change of lacrimal sac which is in turn usually due to nasolacrimal duct obstruction.
