Abnormal perinatal imaging.

Patient Data

Age: 10 days
Gender: Male
mri

The posterior fossa is expanded and filled with CSF which connects to an open fourth ventricle. There is cerebellar vermis hypoplasia and torcular inversion.

There is hydrocephalus and the corpus callosum is very stretched.

Case Discussion

This is a case of Dandy-Walker malformation. Several months following the study, the patient received a shunt to manage the hydrocephalus.
