De Quervain tenosynovitis

Pain along the radial aspect of the wrist.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Abnormal intrasubstance increased fluid signal and thickening is present along the course of the first extensor compartment tendons of the wrist (abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis).

Peritendinous fluid signal within the first extensor compartment also is seen related to tenosynovitis.

Case Discussion

The recent patient referred with the history of non-traumatic chronic pain on the radial aspect of the wrist for the last few months. Clinical presentation and imaging findings are suggestive for De Quervain tenosynovitis.
