Presentation

Swelling of the right wrist and forearm.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years

Right wrist

Peritendinous fluid signal is noted along the cross-over of the all extensor compartments (tenosynovitis) with diffuse subcutaneous edema extending from the distal forearm and wrist.

A small (7 mm) ganglion noted opposite volar aspect ulno-carpal articulation.

Tiny cyst lunate bone.

Case Discussion

The overall features are in favor of extensor compartment tenosynovitis, and intersection syndrome coexisting with De Quervain tenosynovitis.
