Patient with Parkinson disease.

Patient Data

Age: 74
Gender: Male

CT images show bilateral deep brain stimulation electrodes extending to the region of the sub-thalamic nuclei. The stimulator is housed on the chest wall, like a cardiac pacemaker.

Case Discussion

Deep brain stimulation is used in a variety of clinical settings, predominantly in patients with poorly controlled movement disorderes.
