Presentation

Out-of-hospital CPR, ambulance crew performed rapid sequential intubation (RSI). Reduced oxygenation.

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Supine mobile CXR

x-ray

AP CXR obtained in the EM department ICU shows a deeply positioned ETT arching into the right main bronchus. An ill-defined opacity can be also observed in the medial right middle zone - may represent atelectasis.

Case Discussion

Early position control after transfer prevented further complications such as the collapse of the left lung.
